This Indenture Made the Tenth Day of February in the Sixth Year of the Reign of King George the Second over Great Britain &c and in the Year of our Lord One Thoufand Seven Hundred and Thirty two Between John Bainbridge of Trenton in the County of Hunterdon and Province of New Jersey Gent. (Gentleman) of the one part and John Bainbridge Jun’r of Maidenhead in the County and Province aforesaid Yeoman of the other part Witnefseth That the Said John Bainbridge for and in Consideration of the Natural Love and affection to the Said John Bainbridge Jun’r as also for and in Consideration of the Sum of fifty pounds Current Lawfull Money of America to me in hand paid by the Said John Bainbridge Jun’r the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge and of Every part and parcell thereof do acquit Release Exonorate and forever Discharge the Said John Bainbridge Jun’r his heirs Executors and adminiftrators forever by these presents Hath Given Granted Bargained Sold aliened Enfeoffed Released Conveyed and Confirmed and by thefe prefents Do Give Grant Bargain Sell aliened Enfeoff Release Convey and Confirm unto the Said John Bainbridge Jun’r & to his heirs and afsigns forever Three Lots or parcels of Land Lying and being in Trenton abovesaid the first Lot purchased by the Said John Bainbridge of William Hope Butted and Bounded as followeth Viz: Beginning at a Post Standing near to the Road that Leads from Trenton to Cap’n Lockarts and Runs thence North North East for Chains and Ninety Links by Land formerly belonging to William Trent to a Post for a Corner Thence North Westerly fifty Degrees Ten Chains & Seventy five Links to a Maple for a Corner Thence South South West four Chains & ninety Links to a Post Standing by the aforesaid Road Thence along the aforesaid Road the Several Corners thereof to the first Mentioned Corner or place of Beginning-Containing the Quantity of five acres and a Quarter of Land be the Same more or lefs, the Second Lot or parcel of Land Was purchased by the S.d John Bainbridge of Joseph Hill Bounded as followeth Viz: Beginning at a Post for a Corner being Bartholomew Talbots Corner & Runs thence by the Said Talbots Land South South East Twenty two Chains to a Post in Trents Line then up the Same Line North North East Nine Chains & Twenty Eight Links to a Small Black oak for a Corner then North West Seventeen Chains & Twenty nine Links to a Hickory Tree marked for a Corner then South West- fifty one degrees Eight Chains and Twenty five Links to the first Station or place of Beginning Containing fifteen acres of Land with allowance for highways  the third Lot or parcel of Land Was purchased by the Said John Bainbridge of James Trent Bounded as followeth Viz:  Beginning at a Corner of the Said Bainbridges Lott formerly belonging to the above said William Hope Running thence North East Twenty two degrees Twenty nine Chains and Twenty nine Links to a- Small Black oak for a Corner Thence South East five Chains & fourty Links thence South South West Twenty Nine Chains and Twenty nine Links Thence North West fifty two degrees five Chains & fourty Links to the place of BeginningContaining fifteen acres of Land be the Same more or Lefs and also another Tract or parcel of Land Taken up at Whippenny in the Said County of Hunterdon abovesaid By Virtue of a Warrant from the Councill of proprietors- Containing Six Hundred Acres of Land Together with all the Houses Outhouses Barns Stables orchards Gardens- Meadows Mines Minerals Ways Water Water Courses Woods Under Woods fishings Fowlings hawkings Huntings and all & Singular the profits Rights Royalties Hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever to the above Described Lotts and parcels of Land & premifses Belonging or in any wise appertaining and all the Estate Right Title Interest and prefent pofsefsion property Claim and Demand Whatsoever of him the Said John Bainbridge of in or to the Said Land and premifses and Every part and parcel of the Same To Have and To Hold the above Granted and Bargained Land and premifses with their and Every of their appurtenances unto the Said John Bainbridge Jun’r and to the only proper use and behoof of the Said John Bainbridge Jun’r his heirs and afsigns forever and the Said John Bainbridge Doth hereby Covenant for himself his heirs Ex’s and adminift’s to and with the Said John Bainbridge Jun’r That he the Said John Bainbridge at the time of the Ensealing and Delivery of these prefents had Good Right Lawfull and absolute authority in himself to Sell Convey and Confirm the above Mentioned Land and premifses and Every part and parcel of the Same unto the abovesaid John Bainbridge Jun’r his heirs and afsigns in Manner and form above Exprefsed and further that the Said John Bainbridge and his heirs Execut’s and adm’s the above Mentioned Land and premifses unto the Said John Bainbridge Jun’r & his heirs & afsigns against the Said John Bainbridge and his heirs and against all other perfon or perfons Whatsoever Claiming any Lawfull Right or Title to the above Mentioned Land and premifses or to any part or parcel thereof Will Warrant and forever Defend by these prefents And Lastly that the Said John Bainbridge all Claiming under him Shall and Will at any time hereafter During the Term of Ten Years next Ensuing the Date of these prefents at the Reasonable Request and at the proper Cost and Charges in the Law of him the Said John Bainbridge Jun’r his heirs or afsigns Sign Seal and Duely Execute and acknowledge all and Every Such further and Lawfull and Reafonable afsurance and Conveyance for the further afsuring and Confirming of all and Singular the above Granted Land and premifses with their appurtenances unto the Said john Bainbridge Jun’r his heirs and afsigns as by the Said John Bainbridge Jun’r or by his or their Councill Learned in the Law Shall Reafonably Devife advise or Require Provided the perfon to Whom Such Request Shall be made be not Compelled nor hereby- Compellable to Travel farther from his or their place of abode than the County of Hunterdon and So as Such farther afsurance or Conveyance Contain no further or More General afsurance or Warrantey than is herein Exprefsed than is herein Exprefsed In Witnefs Whereof the Said John Bainbridge hath hereunto Set his hand and Seal the Day and Year first above Written

Be it Remembered That on the 25th day of May Ano Dom 1737 personally came and appeared before me John Reading One of his Majestys Court for the Province of New Jerfey William Yard & Joseph Yard two of the Evidences to the with in Written Instrument of Conveyance Who upon their Corporall Oaths which they took did declare in manner following Viz: The S.d William Yard did depofe that he Saw the Grantor Seal & Deliver the Same to the ufes therein mentioned And the S.d Joseph Yard doth xxx depofe that he Saw the Grantor Seal and Deliver the Same to the Ufes therein mentioned And that he by the order of the Said John Bainbridge Signed the Said John Bainbridge his name to the Said Instrument in the presence of the Subscribing Evidences And that they did Severally write their names as Witnefses thereto
