To William Churchill Houfton Esq’r Attorney at Law or any other Attorney practizing in any Court of Record in the State of New Jerfey-

            Whereas I Jofeph Curtis of Greenwich in the County of Sufsex in the State of New Jerfey late of xxx in the County of Hunterdon & State aforefaid stand Bound unto Stacy Potts of Trenton in the County of Hunterdon aforefaid, Tanner in two several Bonds or Obligations the one Dated Jan’y 16th 1776 for the sum of two hundred and seven Pounds seventeen Shillings and four Pence Conditioned for the payment of one hundred and three Pounds eighteen Shillings and eight Pence on the 19th of Aprill 1776 and the other Obligation dated the 3’d day of March 1783 for the sum of ninety two Pounds current Gold or Silver Money conditioned for the payment of forty six Pounds three shillings and one Pency on the third day of March 1784 with Lawful Interest from the date Thefe are therefore to Authorize and require you or any one of you to appear for me the said Jofeph Curtis at the suit of the said Stacy Potts in an Action of Debt for the said Obligations and all the Interest due or to become due on them or either of them as of the Term of May last or any other subsequent Term and receive a Declaration and confefs the same by any such mode manner and form as are practized in said Court or otherwife and thereupon to suffer Judgement to be had and entered against me in the said Court for the several Debts aforefaid and Damages and for your so doing this shall be your sufficient Warrant.  And I do hereby Remise Releafe and forever quit claim unto the said Stacy Potts his Heirs Exec’rs Adm’rs or Afsigns all Error and Errors and misprifions of Error misentries Defects and imperfections and eroneous proceedings whatfoever that shall or may happen in the entering up of the said Judgement or any procefs thereon or concerning the same In Witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the 17th Day of February 1785-
