This Indenture made the sixth – Day of November in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven Hundred and seventy Between John Plaskett of Trenton in the County of Hunterdon and Province of new Jersey Joyner of the one part and Nathan Beakes of Trenton in the County and Province aforesaid of the other part Whereas the said John Plaskett in and by a certain obligation under his Hand and Seal, duly executed bearing date herewith standeth, bound unto the said Nathan Beakes in the sum of one Hundred and forty pounds proclamation money Conditioned for the payment of seventy- pounds on the sixth Day of November in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven Hundred and seventy one in one entire payment together with Interest for the same as by the said recited Obligation and Condition thereof relation being thereunto had more fully and at large appear Now this Indenture Witnefseth that the said John Plaskett for and in Consideration of the aforesaid sum of seventy pounds money aforesaid and for the Better securing the payment thereof with the Interest, unto the said Nathan Beaks his Executors, Administrators or Afsigns in discharge of the said recited Obligation, And for and consideration of the ffurther sum of ffive shillings money aforesaid unto the said John Plaskett in Hand paid by the said Nathan Beaks at and before the sealing and delivery hereof, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledge, hath Granted, Bargained, Sold, Aliened Enfeoffed, released and confirmed and by these presents doth Grant, Bargain, Sell, Alien, Enfeoff release and confirm unto the said Nathan Beakes his Heirs & Afsigns a certain Lott or Parcell of Land situate lying and being in Trenton in the County of Hunterdon which said Lott of Land is Butted and Bounded as follows, to witt, Beginning at a Stone standing by Delaware River five Chains and seventy three Links distant in a Direct Line from the Corner of Joseph Higbee’s Plantation and runs from thence along by the Land of George Ely North Twenty one Degrees Twenty Minutes East seventeen Chains and fforty six Links to the main Road to a Stone there placed for a Corner then along the said Road south fifty seven Degrees east about ffive chains and seventy three Links to the Line of Joseph Higbees Plantation and then along the said line South South west seventeen Chains and eighty six links to Higbees Corner at Delaware River then bounded by the said River up to the Place of Beginning containing by Estimation Ten Acres be same more or lefs together with all and all manner of mines, Minerals, Waters, Woods, Buildings, Improvements, Royalties, Commodities, Priveledges & Appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appurtaining to have and to hold the above Granted and bargained Lott of Land with all and singular its appurtenances unto the said Nathan Beakes his Heirs and Afsigns together with all and Singular the Rents, Ifsues, Profits and Emoluments whatsoever, to the use and behoof of him the said Nathan Beakes his Heirs and Afsigns forever, Provided always neverthelefs that if the said John Plaskett his Heirs, Executors Administrators or Afsigns or any of them shall and do well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Nathan Beakes his Executors Adminstrators or Afsigns the aforesaid Debtor sum of seventy pounds money aforesaid on the Day and time herein mentioned and appointed for payment thereof together with lawfull Interest for the same according to the Conditions of the said recited Obligation without any fraud or further delay and without any deduction, defalcation, or abatement to be made of any thing for or in Respect of any Fines, Charges or Afsefments whatsoever that then and from thenceforth as well this present Indenture and the Estate and Estates hereby granted as the said recited Obligation shall cease determine and become absolutely Void to all intents and purposes and thin herein before contained to the contrary in any wise Notwithstanding, In Witnefs Whereof the said Parties to these presents have interchangeably set their Hands & Seals the Day and Year first above Written-

The fifth day of December Anno Dom. 1770 Before me Isaac Smith one of his Majesties Judges of the Inferior Court of common Pleas for the County of Hunterdon came the above named John Plaskett and acknowledged the above written Indenture to be his Act and Deed and Desired the same to be recorded as such Witnefs my Hand and Seal the Day and Year above Written-
