Historic Property Rehabilitation Grant Program

The Trenton Historical Society (THS) is proud to announce a grant program for owners of historic homes in Trenton. The program, called Restore Trenton!, is designed to help the owners of Trenton's residential properties repair or replace exterior architectural details and features. These kinds of repairs, which can be expensive for the homeowner, preserve the character of the buildings and neighborhoods that are unique to Trenton.

Applications for the 2011 Grant Round are available here.
The deadline is April 15, 2011.

The grants will range from $500 to $3,000.

To be eligible to receive a grant, a property must be at least 50 years old and located in the City of Trenton. Preference will be given to properties that are located in Historic Districts.

The property must be owner-occupied or a rental property. Commercial properties are not eligible. Preference will be given to Trenton residents/rental owners.

The annual THS fundraiser, Stop the Wrecking Ball, dedicates much of the proceeds to the Restore Trenton! grant fund. To date THS has awarded $52,200 in grants.
