            This Indenture made the fifteenth Day of December in the Year of our Lord one thoufand seven hundred and eighty five by and between Stacy Potts of Trenton in the County of Hunterdon and State of New Jerfey Tanner of the one part and John Bowers and Fredrick Long both of Trenton aforesaid Papermakers of the other part Witnefseth that the said Stacy Potts for and in confideration of the Rents Covenants and agreements herein referved and contained to be paid and performed by the said John Bowers and Fredrick Long or either of them their Heirs or Afsigns hath Granted and to their ufe hath Lett his Paper Mill in Trenton with it’s appurtenances including two large clofe Stoves one Copper for Boiling Size one pair of large Scales and Beam three fifty Six one twenty eight one fourteen one seven one four one two & a one Pound Weight alfo one pair of Demy one pair of double Cap one pair of double Law one pair of Single Law and one pair of Single Cap Moulds with the felts &c and alfo apiece of Ground on the Eastwardly side of the Road to the Paper Mill as marked out and agreed on To have and to hold the said Paper Mill and Appurtenances from the Day of the date hereof unto them the said John Bowers and Fredrick Long or either of them for and during the full end and term of one Year And the said John Bowers and Fredrick Long for themfelves their Heirs and Afsigns jointly and Severally doth Covenant and agree to and with the said Stacy Potts his Heirs & Afsigns by thefe Prefents that they or either of them will pay or caufe to be paid unto the said Stacy Potts his Heirs or Afsigns the full sum of one hundred Pounds for the Rent of the premifes during the said term of one year to be paid in good salable Paper Pastboards & at their common wholefail prices either weekly monthly or not to exceed Quarterly payments during the said term and at the expiration thereof that they will deliver up the said Paper Mill with all and every of the Appurtenances unto him the said Stacy Potts his Heirs or Afsigns in good order and repair But if the said Paper Mill should require a new Water or Cog Wheel or any such large repair occationed by common ufe or unavoidable accident during the said time them it shall be done by the said Stacy Potts or at his expence any thing herein contained to the contrary notwithstanding In Witnefs whereof they the parties aforefaid have to thefe prefents interchangably set their Hands and Seals the day and year above written-
