Title:  Jos DeCow (Joseph DeCou) to Joseph Warrell Esq’r_

This Indenture Made the first day of May in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and fifty.  Between Joseph DeCow of Trenton in the County of Hunterdon And province of New Jersey of the one part, And Joseph Warrell of Trenton in the County and province aforesaid Esq’r of the other part.  Whereas William Coxe by deed bearing date the fifth day of August Anno (1748) did Sell and Convey Unto the Said Joseph DeCow the quantity of five Hundred and forty five Acres of Land to be Surveyed and taken Up and xxx xxx in the Western division of the province of New Jersey And is part of a Warrant (best guess) from the Councill of Proprietors to the Said William Coxe for the taking up the Quantity of Eight hundred and Eighty Seven Acres bearing date the third day of August Anno (1748) As by the above recited deed and Warrant relation being thereunto had Will More at large appear, Now This Indenture Witnefseth that the Said Joseph DeCow for and in Consideration of the Sum of Ten Pounds Current Money of the province of New Jersey to him in hand paid by the Said Joseph Warrell at and before the Sealing and Delivery of these presents the receipt Whereof he the Said Joseph ^DeCow doth hereby Acknowledge and thereof doth Acquit release and Discharge the Said Joseph Warrell his heirs and Executors forever by these presents, Hath granted bargained Sold aliened enfeoffed released Conveyed and Confirmed And by these presents doth fully Clearly and absolutly grant bargain Sell alien enfeoffe release Convey and Confirm Unto the Said Joseph Warrell And to his heirs and Afsigns forever the Quantity of Eighty one Acres of Land to be Surveyed and taken Up in the Said Western Division of the province of New Jersey being a part of the above Mentioned Land Purchased of Said William Coxe, Together With all and Singular the Woods Under woods Ways Waters rights Liberties Priviledges Hereditaments and appurtenances Whatsoever to the Same belonging or in any Wise Appertaining, And all the Estate right title Intrest property Claim and Demand Whatsoever of him the Said Joseph DeCow and his heirs both in law and Equity of in and to the Said Eighty one acres of Land and Premifses hereby granted and of every part thereof and the reversions and remainders thereof, To Have And to hold the Said Eighty one acres of Land and premifses hereby granted With the appurtenances Unto the Said Joseph Warrell his heirs and afsigns, To the only Sole Use benefit and behoof, of the Said Joseph Warrell his heirs and afsigns forever And the Said Joseph DeCow for him Selfe his heirs Executors Doth Covenant And agree to and With the Said Joseph Warrell his heirs and afsigns that he the Said Joseph DeCow Now at the time of the Sealing and delivery of these presents is the true Sole and lawfull owner of the land and premifses hereby granted and Mentioned to be granted With their appurtenances, And is lawfully and rightfully Seized thereof and of every part thereof, of a good Sure perfect and Indefeazable Estate of Inheritance in fee Simple, And that he Now hath good right full power and Authority in him Selfe to grant bargain And Sell the Said premifses Unto the Said Joseph Warrell his heirs and afsigns forever according to the true Intent and Meaning of these presents, And further that the Said Joseph DeCow and his hers and every other person Any wise Claiming in the Said premifses Under him or them Shall and Will at any time or times hereafter Within the Space of Seven Years at the request Cost and Charge in the Law of the Said Joseph Warrell his heirs or afsigns, Make Execute and Acknowledge or Cause to be made Executed And Acknowledged and every Such further and other lawfull and reasonable Act and Acts thing and things Conveyances And afsurances in the Law Whatsoever for the further better and More perfect Ifsuing Conveying and Confirming the Said premifses Unto the Said Joseph Warrell his heirs and afsigns forever, In Witnefs Whereof the Said Joseph DeCow hath hereunto Set his hand and Seal the day and Year above Written Anno 1750-
