This Indenture made the Twenty First Day of November in the year of our Lord One Thousand seven Hundred and Sixty Nine Between Thomas Lawrence Esq’r and Mary his Wife John Lawrence Esq’r and Elizabeth his Wife and Mary Masters Widdow all of the City of Philadelphia of the one part and Stacy Potts of Trenton in the County of Hunterdon & Western Division of the Province of New Jersey Tanner of the other part Witnefseth that the said Thomas Lawrence John Lawrence and Mary Masters for and in Consideration of the sum of one Hundred Pounds Current Proclamation Money to them in hand paid by the said Stacy Potts before the Ensealing and delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof they the said Thomas Lawrence John Lawrence and Mary Masters doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and every part thereof doth hereby acquit Exenorate Release and Discharge the said Stacy Potts his Heirs Executors Administrators and Afsigns forever by these presents Hath Granted Bargained and Sold Aliened Enfeofed released Conveyed and Confirmed and by these Presents doth Grant Bargain and Sell Alien Enfeof Release Convey and Confirm unto the said Stacy Potts his Heirs and Afsigns forever one certain Lott or piece of Land situate in Trenton aforesaid being one Eaqual third part of a certain Lott of Land divided between Francis Bowes Thomas Lawrence and John Sober of the City of Philadelphia by Deed of division duely Executed under the Hands & Seals of the said Francis Bowes Thomas Lawrence and John Sober bearing Date the twentieth Day of April One Thousand Seven hundred and forty three whereby the said Eaqual third Part called in the said Deed of division Number two became the Property of the said Thomas Lawrence since Deceased who by his last Will and testament properly Executed Proved and Recorded in the City of Philadelphia bearing Date the Eighteenth Day of September One Thousand Seven Hundred and fifty three did Give Devise and Bequeath the said Lott of Land being a Residuary part of his Estate unto the aforesaid Thomas Lawrence John Lawrence and Mary Masters and is now in the actual Pofsefsion of him the said Stacy Potts Bounded as followeth: Begining at a Stone on the West side of Kings Street being a Corner of the said Stacy Pott’s Lott whereon the Tan Yard stands and from thence Runs along said Potts’s Line North Seventy Seven Degrees West Seven Chains and forty three Links to a Stone in Daniel Coxe’s Line and from thence along his Line North Twenty seven Degrees East three Chains and Sixty Links to another Stone Corner of the Lott late Francis Bowes’s and from thence along his Line South Seventy Seven Degrees East Six Chains and Sixty Links to a Stone on the Westerly side of Kings Street aforesaid and from thence along the said Street South thirteen Degrees West Three Chains and fifty two Links to the place of Begining Containing two Acres one Quarter and twenty seven Perch of Land be the same more or lefs Together with all and Singular the Mines Minerals Rights Royalties Liberties Profits Comodities Fencings Buildings Improvements Heriditraments and Appurtenances whatsoever unto the said Granted Lott of Land belonging or in any wise Appertaining And alfo all the Estate Right Title Interest Use Pofsefsion Property Claim and Demand whatsoever of them the said Thomas Lawrence John Lawrence and Mary Masters or either of them their Heirs Executors and Administrators both in Law and Equity of in or unto the said Lott of Land and Premises or any part thereof To Have and to Hold the above described Lott of Land with the Appurtenances with the said Stacy Potts his Heirs and Afsigns and to the only proper Ufe Benefit and Behoof of him the said Stacy Potts his Heirs and Afsigns forever And the said Thomas Lawrence John Lawrence and Mary Masters doth for themselves and for their Refpective Heirs Executors and Administrators Covenant Promise and Agree to and with the Said Stacy Potts his Heirs and Afsigns by thefe prefents that they the said Thomas Lawrence John Lawrence and Mary Masters at the time of the Ensealing and Delivery hereof hath in themselves good Right full Power Lawfull and Abfolute Authority to Grant Bargain and Sell Release Convey and Confirm the above said Lott of Land and Premises unto the said Stacy Potts his Heirs and Afsigns in Manner above Mentioned And alfo that they the said Thomas Lawrence John Lawrence and Mary Masters or either of them hath not Wittingly or Willingly Committed Omitted Suffered or Done any Act Matter or Thing whatsoever whereby or by Reafon whereof the said Granted Premises or any part thereof is are shall or may be Charged Burthened or Incumbered in any manner howsoever And further that the said Stacy Potts his Heirs and Afsigns shall and may at all times forever hereafter Quietly and Peaceably have hold Occupy Pofsefs and Enjoy the above said Lott of Land with its Appurtenances free and clear of and from all Jointures Dowers Mortgages or any manner of Incumberance whatsoever without any Trouble Suit Denial Ejection Molestation or Disturbance of or from them the said Thomas Lawrence John Lawrence and Mary Masters or either of them theirs Heirs Executors and Administrators or any other Perfon or Persons Lawfully Claiming or pretending to Claim by from or under them or any of them by thefe Presents And Also that they the said Thomas Lawrence John Lawrence and Mary Masters their Heirs Executors or Administrators shall and will at any time or times hereafter at the Reafonable Request Coft and Charge of the said Stacy Potts his Heirs or Afsigns Make do Acknowledge and Execute or procure to be made done Acknowledged and Executed all such further Act and Acts Thing and Things Conveyance and Afsurance in the Law whatfoever for the better more full and perfect Afsuring Conveying and Confirming the Above described Lott of Land with the Appurtenances unto the said Stacy Potts his Heirs and Afsigns forever according to the purport true Intent and Meaning of these Prefents In Witnefs whereof the said Thomas Lawrence and Mary his Wife John Lawrence and Elizabeth his Wife and Mary Masters Widdow hath to this prefent
