This Indenture made this Twentieth day of May in the Eleventh year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King George the Third &c. and in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and Seventy one, Between Joseph Green of Trenton in the County of Hunterdon and Province of new Jersey and Elizabeth his wife Testified by his figning and Sealing these Presents of the one part, And Elizabeth Brearley – (late Elizabeth Mullin) Wife of David Brearley of Allentown in the County of Monmouth in the Province aforesaid Esq’r of the other part, Whereas the said Joseph Green and Elizabeth his Wife by a deed bearing date on or about the Sixth – Day of October in the year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and Sixty two—for the Consideration therein Mentioned did Grant Bargain, Sell and Convey to the said Elizabeth Brearley late Elizabeth Mullin while She was Single all that Tract or Lott of Land with the appurtenances Situate in Trenton aforesaid And Bounded and discribed as followeth Viz:  Beginning at the corner of a stable standing by the side of the road leading from Trenton to Penningtown being also Corner of a Lot of Land belonging to James Allexander & runs thence along said Allexander’s line South seventy nine degrees west seven chaines & thirty eight Links to a port in the line of a lot of Land belonging to William Lester, runs thence along said Lesters and Joseph Higbe’s and south nineteen degrees & thirty minutes west, thirteen Chains & ninety five Links to Daniel Coxe’s Corner, thence runs along said Coxe’s and Warrell Cottnams lines north seventy nine degrees east fifteen chains & eighty links to John Chambers Corner thence along said Chamber’s line north thirty three degrees west five chains & thirty five links then South seventy nine degrees West three chains & seventy links to another of said Chamber’s Corners & so bounded by Chamber’s lot to the aforesaid road thence by the road to the place of beginning Containing Twelve Acres one and half of Land (be the same more or lefs) Which said Deed of Conveyance has since by Accident been destroyed by fire the Same not having been put on the Publick Records of this Province, Now This Indenture Witnefseth that the said Joseph Green as well for and in Consideration of his having formerly Granted And Conveyed the said Land and Premifses as aforesaid, as for and in Consideration of the fum of five Shillings to him in hand paid by the Said Elizabeth Brearley at or before the Ensealing and delivery hereof the Receipt whereof the said Joseph Green doth hereby Acknowledge- And discharge the said Elizabeth Brearley thereof forever, Hath Granted, Bargained, Sold, Aliened, Enfeoffed, Released, Conveyed and Confirmed, And by these Presents doth fully Clearly, and Absolutely Grant Bargain fell Alienate Enfeoff Release Convey and Confirm, unto the Said Elizabeth Brearley and to her Heirs and Afsigns forever, all the above discribed Lott of Land and Premifses with all & Singular the Appurtenances Together with all and all manner of Woods under woods Ways, ^Buildings, fences, Rights Libertys Priviledges Hereditaments and Appurtenances Whatsoever to the fame belonging or in any wise Appertaining, and all the Estate Right Title Interest Property Claim and Demand-whatsoever of him the said Joseph Green Either in Law or Equity of in or to the Above Granted and Bargained Premifses and Every part thereof To Have and To Hold the above discribed Lott of Land and Premifses with the Appurtenances unto the said Elizabeth Brearley her Heirs & Afsigns to the fole and only Proper use benefit and behoof of the said Elizabeth Brearley her Heirs and Afsigns forever, And the said Joseph Green for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators doth Covenant Grant and Agree to and with the said Elizabeth Brearley her Heirs And Afisgns that at the time of the Making the before Recited deed he the said Jofeph Green had in himself Good Right full Power Lawfull And Absolute Authority to grant Bargain & Sell the said Granted & Bargained Premifses and Every part thereof, And that he hath not Done nor fuffered to be done (before or since the Making the above recited Deed) any Act Matter or thing whatsoever whereby the Premifses herein Before Mentioned may be in any wise Charged defeated or Incumbered And the fame to the said Elizabeth Brearley her Heirs and Afisgns Against him the said Joseph Green and his Heirs and against every other Person or Persons Whatsoever that Shall or may at any time or times hereafter Lawfully Claim to have any Estate Right Title or Interest, of, in, or to the Premifses above Mentioned, or any part thereof, Shall and Will Warrant and forever defend by these Presents, In Witnefs whereof the said Jofeph Green and Elizabeth his Wife have to this Present Indenture Interchangeably fet their Hands and Seals the day and year first above Written

Be it remembered that on the Sixth – Day of february Anno Dom’i 1772 Personally appeared before me (Isaac Smith Esq’r one of his Majesty’s Judges of the Inferior Court of Common Pleas for the County of Hunterdon) Isaac DeCou Esq’r one of the witnefses to the within Deed being one of the People Called ^quakers and Solemnly affirmed according to Law, did declare that he saw Joseph Green & Elizabeth Green the grantors within named Sign & seal the within Instrument and that they Delivered the same for the uses and purposes within mentioned as their volontary act & Deed and that Joseph Green Jun’r the other fubscribing Witnefs together with this affirmant signed their names at the same time as Witnefses to the said Deed                           Signed: I DeCou
