 This Indenture Made the fifteenth Day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy three Between Isaac Allen Esq’r of Trenton in the County of Hunterdon and Province of New Jersey and Sarah his Wife of the one Part and Stacy Potts of Trenton aforesaid of the other Part Witnefseth that the said Isaac Allen for and in Consideration of the sum of seventy five Pounds current Proclamation Money to him in Hand paid before the Ensealing and Delivery of these prefents the Receipt whereof he the said Isaac Allen doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and of every part thereof doth hereby Acquit Release and Discharge the said Stacy Potts his Heirs Executors Administrators and Afsigns forever by these presents hath Granted Bargained and Sold and by these presents doth fully freely clear and Abfolutely Grant Bargain Sell Releafe Convey and Confirm unto the said Stacy Potts his Heirs and Afsigns forever one certain dwelling House and Lott of Land situate in Trenton aforesaid Bounded as followeth Beginning at a Stone standing near the Bridge on the Eastwardly side of Kings Street by William Plaskett’s Corner and runs from thence along the said Street thirteen Degrees East one hundred and twenty two feet thence upon a Square Eastwardly one hundred and ten feet thence upon a Square Southwardly Sixty feet to William Plaskett’s Line in or near a Run of Water thence along the said Plaskett’s Line to the place of Beginning be the same more or lefs Together will all the Houfes Buildings Fencings Improvements Ways Waters Water courfes Liberties Previledges Hereditraments and Appurtenances whatsoever with the Revertion and Revertions Remainder and Remainders Rents Ifsues and Profits thereof and of every part and parcill thereof and also all the Estate Right Title Interest ufe Pofsefsion Property Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said Isaac Allen, his Heirs Executors and Administrators of in or unto the above granted Premifes or any part thereof To Have and to Hold the said House and Lott of Land with all and every of the Appurtenances unto the said Stacy Potts his Heirs and Afsigns to the only proper use Benefit and Behoof of him the said Stacy Potts his Heirs and Afsigns forever And the said Isaac Allen for himself and for his Heirs Executors and Administrators doth Covenant Promise and Agree to and with the said Stacy Potts his Heirs and Afsigns that he the said Isaac Allen at the time of the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents hath good Right full power Lawfull and Abfolute authority to Grant Bargain Sell Releafe convey and confirm the above described Houfe and Lott of Land and premises unto him the said Stacy Potts his Heirs and Afsigns and that he the said Isaac Allen hath not wittingly or willingly committed Omitted suffered or done any Act Matter or thing whereby or by reafon whereof the above granted Premises or any part thereof is are shall or may be charged Burthened or Incumbred in any manner howfoever but that he the said Stacy Potts his Heirs and Afsigns shall and may at all times forever hereafter quietly and Peaceably have hold Occupy Pofsefs and Enjoy the above granted Premifes with all and every of the Appurtenances without any Suit Denyal Ejection Molestation or Disturbance whatsoever of him the said Isaac Allen and Sarah his wife or either of them their Heirs Executors and Administrators or any other person claiming by from or under them or either of them In Witnefs whereof the said Isaac Allen and Sarah his Wife hath to this  prefent Indenture set their Hands and Seals the Day and Year above Written…………….

Personally appeared this 23d Day of April 1774 before me Isaac Smith one of the Judges of the Court of common Pleas for the County of Hunterdon Isaac Allen & Sarah his Wife (who being examined apart from her Husband according to Law) did severally acknowledge that they signed sealed & deliver’d the above Indenture for the ufes & Purpofes therein mentioned.
