This Indenture made he Twenty sixth Day of January in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Twenty Nine and in the Third Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the grace of God of great Brittain France and Ireland King &c Between James Trent Gent of Trenton in the County of Hunterdun in the Western Division of the Province of New Jersey of the one Part And John Dagworthy of the same place Shop Keeper of the other part Wittnefseth that the said James Trent for and in Consideration of the sum of Sixteen Pounds Lawfull Proclaimation Money to him in hand paid before the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof he the said James Trent doth hereby Acknowledge and himself therewill fully and Entirely Satisfied contented and paid and thereof and of and from Every part and parcel thereof Doth for Ever by these presents Hath given, granted, Bargained, Sold, Aliened, Enffeoffed, Conveyed & Confirmed And by these presents Doth fully freely and Absolutely give, grant, bargain, Sell, Alien, Enffeoffe Convey and Confirm unto the said John Dagworthy his Heirs Ex’s Adm’s (Executors, Administrators) & Afsigns for Ever a Certain Piece or Lott of Land Situate Lying and being in Trenton afore’d (aforesaid) Beginning at the Corner of the Lott now belonging to the s.d John Dagworthy next to King Street in S.d Town Thence South Eleven Degrees West along S.d Street till it comes to the Lot of Land formerly granted to James Leonard Thence along S.d Leonards Line North Seventy Nine Degrees West partly by the S.d Leonards Line and partly bounded on the Said Trents Land Twenty Perch to a Stake Thence North Eleven Degrees East to the Corner of Mr Peter Bards Lott thence along Said Bards Line South Seventy Nine Degrees East Ten Perch to the North Westerly Corner of the S.d John Dagworthys Lot, Thence South Eleven Degrees West along the Said Dagworthys Line to the South Westerly Corner of his Lott Thence South Seventy Nine Degrees East along the Said Dagworthys Line Ten Percy to the first Trenton Corner Containing half and Acre be(ing) the same more or Lefs Together with all and Singular the Houses Barns Orchards Gardens Woods Underwoods Waters Water Courses ffencings Ways Easements xxx Commodities Emolument Hereditaments and all other Priveledges and Appurtenances thereunto Conveyed xxx xxx Appurtenances and part and parcel thereof with the Reversion and Reversions, Remainders Rents ffines & Proffits therto or of any part or parcel thereof And all the Estate, Right, Title, Interest, Pofsefsion, Property Claim and xxx whatsoever of him the S.d James Trent his Heirs Ex’s or Adm’s either in Law or Equity of in or to the Same or to any part or parcel thereof To Have and to Hold the Said granted and Bargained Land and premises with Every its Rights Privelidges and Appurtenances unto the S.d John Dagworthy [his Heirs & Afsigns] (crossed through) his Heirs and Afsigns for ever To the only proper use benefit and behoof of the S.d John Dagworthy his Heirs Ex’s Am’s an dAfsigns for Ever And the S.d James Trent for himself and his above written Doth Covenant and promise to and with the Said John Dagworthy and his above written That he the Said James Trent is now at the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents the true Sole and Lawfull Owner of the S.d granted and Bargained Land and promises And hath in himself good right full power and Lawfull Authority to Sell the same in Manner afores.d and that it shall and may be Lawfull for the S.d John Dagworthy and his Above Written Peaceably and Quietly to have hold use Occupy Pofsefs and Enjoy the same without any Lawfull Let hindrance Molestation Erection Ejection or other Interruption of him the said James Trent or his Heirs Ex’s Adm’s or any other Person or Persons whatsoever And that free and Clear and freely and Clearly Acquitted and Discharged or otherwise xxx xxx Harmlefs and Indemnified of and from all and all manner of former and other gifts, grants, Bargains, Sales Mortgages Leases xxx Dowers Wills Entails Fines Feoffments or any other xxx whatsoever committed made or done by any Person or Persons whatsoever preceeding this Date (The rents and Services thereout Issuing to our Sovereign Lord The King his Heirs and Succefsors and the arrears thereof if any be only Excepted) And further that the S.d James Trent and his Above Written Shall and will Warrant and for Ever Defend the granted Land and premises with the Appurtenances unto the S.d John Dagworthy his Heirs and Afsigns for Ever against The Lawfull claim and Demand of any Person or Persons whatsoever.  And further the Said James Trent for himself his Heirs Ex’s and Adm’s doth Covenant and promise to and with the S.d John Dagworthy his Heirs Ex’s Adm’s and Afsigns to give further and ample Afsurance of the promises upon his or their Request at any time hereafter and at the xxx and xxx in the Law of the S.d John Dagworthy or his above written as by him or them or their Learned Council the Law  shall be reasonably Advised Devised or required either in Law or Equity.  In Wittnefs whereof the Said James Trent hath hereunto Set his hand and Seal the Day and Year first above Written ------
